Regarding Power Transformers

In order to transmit electrical energy, power systems often use AC voltage and high-current circuits to deliver electricity to users, which cannot be directly measured by instruments. The function of instrument transformers is to proportionally reduce AC voltage and large current to values that can be directly measured by instruments, facilitating direct measurement by instruments, and at the same time providing power for relay protection and automatic devices.

Regarding Power Transformers

Instrument transformers used in power systems are a special type of transformer that transmits information about high voltage and large current in the power grid to metering, measuring instruments, relay protection, and automatic devices on the low-voltage, small-current secondary side. They are connecting components between the primary system and the secondary system. Their primary windings are connected to the power grid, and their secondary windings are respectively connected to measuring instruments, protection devices, etc.

Regarding Power Transformers

Cooperating with measuring instruments and metering equipment, instrument transformers can measure the voltage, current and electrical energy of the primary system; cooperating with relay protection and automatic devices, they can form electrical protection and automatic control for various faults in the power grid. The performance of instrument transformers directly affects the accuracy of power system measurement and metering, as well as the reliability of the operation of relay protection devices.
